After winning the Delhi Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the people of Delhi have voted for vikas, vision and vishwas. "Excitement for victory and relief is for making Delhi, AAP-da free. I bow my head and thank the people of Delhi for believing in Modi's guarantee. The people of Delhi have voted for vikas, vision and vishwas," he said at the party’s headquarters in Delhi.
PM Modi also said that the national capital is finally free of AAP-da. "People voted for BJP to make Delhi 'Viksit Capital'. The double engine government in Delhi will work hard to fulfil the promises and lead the capital to development," he said.
Sunelita (9th) and Deepika (15th) scored superb field goals to give India a huge morale-boosting 2-0 lead but soon saw it being cancelled out by Germany's Viktoria Huse, who converted penalty corners in the 23rd and 32nd minutes to bring her team on level terms.
He added that the people of Delhi rejected those who treated it as their property. "People of Delhi have made it clear they are real owners of Delhi, they have rejected those who treated it as their property. People's mandate to BJP is for development, vision and trust,ph143" he said.
“I regret not having had the opportunity to serve Delhi, now you have given me that opportunity. Delhi is like mini-India with people from all states residing here and all of them have voted for BJP,” PM Modi said.

AAP’s decade-long rule in the national capital has ended with the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, as the BJP is set to form the government after a 27-year gap. The election has also unseated key AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia from their respective constituencies. Kejriwal lost the New Delhi seat, where the BJP’s Parvesh Verma defeated him by over 3,000 votes. This is the same seat from which Kejriwal defeated former CM Sheila Dikshit in 2013, ending her 15-year rule.
The Kalkaji seat saw a threeway contest between current Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri, and Congress’ Alka Lamba. CM Atishi won from Kalkaji seat by a margin of 3lucky time,521 votes over BJP’s Bidhuri.
