Ireland lost last match's heroes Paul Stirling and Curtis Campher cheaply before Harry Tector and Andrew Balbirnie raised half-centuries to stabilise the innings. However, both of them were really slow. Lorcan Tucker too scored a half-century to take Ireland to 240/6 in 50 overs.
Among Zimbabwe bowlers, Richard Ngarava and Trevor Gwandu picked up a couple of wickets each while Wellington Masakadza and Blessing Muzarabani took a wicket apiece.
Brian Bennett who scored a historic 169 in the first ODI gave Zimbabwe a good start alongside Curran. The duo put up a 124-run stand before Bennett was dismissed on a run-a-ball 48. Curran kept going and found an able partner in captain Ervine.
Curran brought up his century in 120 balls thus becoming first among the three siblings, Tom and Sam, to get an international ton despite being the last to debut.
Curran and Ervine remained unbeaten and took Zimbabwe to an easy victory.
